JIM BROOKS

Here's one of my great uncle, Jim Brooks, my grandmother's brother. The man liked to party, as did/does most of my family. A strange sense of humour also runs in the family. This pic, half staged, half real, mostly real I'd guess, is testament to both of those traits. It was worth repairing in my humble opinion, and this is where I landed with it. Added some hand colouring and a comparison, before and after shot. I might add that when you drive along those roads and hiways through beautiful Muskoka and wonder who blasted the rock and cut the right of way for the hydro that powers your lovely chalet, it was him and men like him that did it. Work hard, party hard......not a bad life in retrospect.
